WOOLGOOLGA Monday 5 August: Lismore’s Trinity College has won their way through to the Bill Turner Trophy quarter finals (last eight) with a 1-0 victory over Woolgoolga High School today.
The 15-year-and-under girls football (soccer) tournament is fast approaching the finals series which will be held next month in the City of Lake Macquarie.
A 58th minute corner from Trinity’s Claudia Hewett swirled into the net and proved the difference between the two talented sides.
The match was locked at nil-all at half time with both team’s defensive back four and respective goal keepers ensuring the scores were level.
Woolgoolga’s Sophie Buller, a year seven student, had an outstanding match and was unlucky to see the ball go into her net from a corner from Hewett.
Hewett had just moments before unleashed a cracking free kick from 30 metres out goal, Buller pushed the ball over her bar for the corner.
Trinity will play the winner of the Wauchope High School v Hunter Sports High match that will be played on Tuesday 6 August, 2013.

Details: Trinity College Lismore 1 (Claudia Hewett 58minute) beat Woolgoolga High School 0 at High Street Soccer Fields, Woolgoolga on Monday 5 August, 2013 in the Bill Turner Trophy for Girls round of 16.
