Bill Turner School Football and News Corp Australia have forged a two year partnership to Live Stream on the KommunityTV platform, four major events annually.
Albury Football Festival on 2&3 August, Queensland Finals Series in Brisbane on 8&9 August and the Northern NSW Finals at Coffs Coast Synthetic Fields on 15&16 August along with the National Finals Series on 5&6 September at Lake Macquarie Regional Football Facility, SPEERS POINT NSW in 2023.
The Bill Turner School Football High School knock-out competitions, Bill Turner Cup and Bill Turner Trophy for girls, are for students 15-years-and-under which are contested by schools from Cairns to Melbourne across the football federations of Queensland, Northern NSW, NSW, the ACT and Victoria.
The very first Bill Turner Cup was played in 1979 with the Bill Turner Trophy, then under the banner of the NSW CHS, first contested in 1991.
“Over the years the Bill Turner School Football competitions have evolved to the point where the competition is held in high regard in the Australian Football community and is recognised as one of the largest team sport competitions in the world,” said Lloyd Turner, son of the late Bill Turner OA.
This year, following on from a return to normal after COVID, has seen the competitions – Bill Turner Cup and Bill Turner Trophy (Girls) – entries grow substantially.
“The Executive is extremely pleased with the vast number of new entrants across both competitions this year,” said Lindsay Hewison, Bill Turner School Football Executive Chairman and Competitions Manager.
All matches, across the two days, will be Live Streamed on the subscriber only News Corp Australia’s KommunityTV platform.
